Parish Update – September 8, 2020

Today we celebrate the birthday of our Blessed Mother! What will you give to Mary for her birthday? A decade of the Rosary said for someone in need? A kind word or sacrifice for another?

Updated Safety Protocols
Bishop McKnight has decreed that beginning September 12, the use of face coverings will again be mandatory (with the exceptions envisioned by the CDC for young children and those who cannot wear a mask for health reasons or inability to put one on safely).
Face coverings must be worn:

  • when entering and leaving church
  • in line for Holy Communion
  • any time 6-foot distancing cannot be maintained

In your charity and sensitivity for the concerns of your fellow parishioners, please follow our Bishop’s decree.

Eucharistic Holy Hours and Benediction
Fridays from 2-3pm, please drop by the church to pray before the Blessed Sacrament exposed on the altar. A special blessing (“Benediction”) with the Eucharist is given at 2:45pm. This is a great chance to pray before picking up your children from school!

Youth Group In-Person Re-Launch
Come join us every other Wednesday (7-8:30pm) in the parish hall for a properly-spaced, fun and faith-filled fall season, for all parishioners from 6th-12th grade.

  • September 9 (The Kind of People He Invites)
  • September 23 (The Invitation)
  • October 14 (The Cost)
  • October 28 (You are Not Alone)

~End of Fall Season~
